Meade autostar ii controller3/31/2024 If you turn Settings/Telescope/GPS Align to "OFF" (enter) Then turn off the scope. Let's approach this one (quite comprehensive) step at a time. i've read back through the thread to see the original complaint. I don't recall the software path behind that sensor board check, but it's possible that if you turn OFF the GPS alignment and turn off Auto Align (choose One Star or Two Star) that the scope will ignore the lack of that board (if you don't ask for its services, it won't try to find it). Sometimes simply re-seating those connectors can clear up problems like this. Another possibility is that the cable coming from the Autostar (the board behind the power panel) may have become loose (or its connector pins oxidized) at the Autostar end. The flat cable wrapped around the DEC axle can crack with age and flexing. Remove the cover: That reveals the cards. You access that area by removing the "knob" at the axis (it can can be simply unscrewed), then the metal disc beneath it, and the bunch of allen screws running around the fork's edges that secure the cover plate. Frequently problems with that are due to the wiring becoming loose or damaged. The auxiliary sensor board is located in the "left" fork (the one with the GPS lump on top).
